Trainee Moments

Competing with sun on rising,
Ironing,polishing,making the knot,
Cold shower amid cold bites,
Lightening rush to check off her noise.

Yesterday was a dry day,
And the explanation made a sneer,
"You should have a nose for news!"
If only she could know  I had a nausea for news.

Stories dying of lack peculiar traits,
"Did the victim die?"
That translates to the reverse,
The story dies if the victim survives!

Office chats are impressive,
Sharing the tragedies humorously,
Stolen WiFi password,
Gives the day online tours,
Risking the tense moments,
But isn't risk worth time control?

Filling the logbook means driving soon,
But the thought of supervisory personnel scares the dreams away,
With consistence in story death, dry days and shared bylines,
The next destination is on "whatever comes may"

Harassment by the authorities in pursuit of comments,
Fear of respondents to give details and the excitement by others till they lie,
Make journalism juicier, exciting and honorable.

Handouts getting new newsworthy meaning,
And the experienced journos giving funny impressions,
Correspondence earning peanuts as passion rises above pay
But who pays bills with passion?

Ready to go!
Ready to earn,
Already learned and experienced,
Call me a trainee at your peril!!!
